No one is at their best when they’re stressed.
I become more scattered, start forgetting things, and get flustered easily.
The big one, and something others might not notice, is that I lose my natural intuition—and I miss it.
What helps me is slowing down. Realising that things can wait, or just doing the minimum to keep the wheels turning. My favourite ways to find calm again is making something with my hands that requires focus or repetition, like flower pressing or bookbinding. It helps me let go of constant thoughts and come back to a sense of calm.
Pressed flower art isn’t just about creating something beautiful—it’s a way to reconnect with yourself.
In a world that moves so fast, this is a little reminder to slow down and find those peaceful moments amid the noise.
